One way to get around in Bangkok is on the river. There are boats that run up and down the river serving as buses; they stop at about at about ten piers along the east bank of the river. There's also some ferries that go directly across at some points.
It is a bit of a long walk, but not too bad from the hostel, so I headed for the river to go explore some of the famous wats (temples) of Bangkok.
